Vintage 1998 Charvel Refinement LP Guitar
Truly Impossible To Find

This is a vintage Charvel Model R-S70 manufactured in Japan in 1998. This is no normal Charvel and not a run of the mill Refinement Series either. This model appears for the first time in the 1999 Charvel Jackson Catalog and is at the TOP of the line for that year. In all likelyhood there were less than a few hundred made.

The factory making Charvel Guitars in Japan and the Ontario California Jackson headquarters collaborated on a this and a few select models in the line. This Les Paul is an example of the awesome result of Jackson engineering and the Japan Factory's custom shop level of quality.

Its evident that there is nothing but choice cuts of wood that went into this guitar. The neck is made from quarter-sawn mahogany and this in conjunction with the two piece mahogany body reveals the care taken by the guitars designers in the USA and their Japanese counterpart to create and follow through with an elite instrument.

This guitar is 100% original. The pickups are Jackson J-80s in both the neck and bridge position. They are a perfect match to this guitars wood type. 

This guitar has been set up and is ready to play upon arrival.
