This is a 1985 M1 Custom. The ESP factory marked this guitar as #856. There is a seriel number in front of the 24rth fret. Most likely this is guitar #6 made in 1985. Also under the clear coat in the pickup cavity there is an ESP factory control number. We have never seen a white 1985 M1 Custom neckthrough. This one has turned a beautiful vintage creamy white!

1985 was a very good year for ESP. This is the first year for ESP to launch thier own brand and new guitar line. They also had new endorsement deals in 1985 most notably Kiss and guitarist Bruce Kulic. This guitar is a vintage ESP, in original and great-to-excellent condition. The quality is virtually un-matched. The original factory frets in very good condition.

ESP made this guitar and some of the best guitars during this "Golden Era" time period. The tone from this neck through guitar I can explain as marvelous. The humbucker is a perfect for the woods used on this guitar.  

There are plenty of cosmetic imperfections which are mentioned yet not limited to visible dings, dents and surface scratches. There is a finish crack at the high E-tuner. These are shown in the photos and in NO-WAY effect the performance of this ESP nor do they impede the collect-ability of this guitar. This guitar in all likelihood is guitar #6 of the 1985 ESP line and its in perfectly flawless operating condition. Its ready for you to have to enjoy and play for many generations. Its also sure to have a great return on investment in the future.
