Authentic 1985 ESP Holy Grail Guitar
NEVER SEEN ESP REVERSE TILT BANANA HEADSTOCK

The guitar is a factory original ESP guitar. It has a nearly-never-seen TILT reverse banana headstock with the factory ESP logo and its a factory Floyd Rose ESP guitar. The body and the neck both have the same ESP inspector markings showing the serial number for this ESP Custom Order.

Firstly we must mention that there are numerous places on the guitar where the paint has cracked. These paint crack are shown in the photos. We can assure you that none of these finish cracks are something that should be of any concern whatsoever.  We have also displayed closeup photos of the neck pocket where the paint cracks or paint chips appear and our photos show that these imperfections are merely cosmetic and do not go into the wood. The wood on this guitar is awesome and in excellent condition including perfect wood around the tremolo posts/anchors.

It is authentic golden era ESP manufacturing that can be accurately dated to late 1985. Again, the matching serial numbers can be seen in the photos of the inside neck pocket of the body and on the headstock of the neck. ESP serial numbers in this range are known to appear on the highest end ESPs of this time period and many began with the number 3 as the numbers appear on this instrument. These numbers confirming that the neck and the body were manufactured by ESP to be onecusom ordered guitar. The neck is a perfect tight fit to the body and the truss rod is perfect as well the neck is perfectly strait.

Both the pickups are ESP brand pickups and the neck pickup is the famous LH-200 ESP humbucker... The bridge pickup looks to be a vintage ESP Invader type popular at the time. In the photos, we can see the factory original ESP wiring and ESP pots that accurately date the guitar. The frets show little-to-no fretware and are the original ESP frets. Again, factory original guitar and a collectors item. The rear control cavity plate is a known early 1980s ESP shape and confirms that date period for ESP as 1985. The guitar is heavy weighing in at 10lbs. It appears to be a one-piece maple body and the neck clearly a maple quarter-sawn reverse TILT banana neck. The guitar also came from ESP with a factory Floyd Rose tremolo that we have dated and verified as early 1985.

This guitar is in pristine structural condition. We have performed a set-up and a complete inspection and use this guitar live now and again. This may be one of the best if not the best playing and sounding guitar we have ever owned. The guitar absolutely ROCKS and we love it! This guitar is ready for you to play and is ready to use live onstage or at home jammin to some hard rock-n-roll... its perfect in every way.
