1978 Fernandes Jeff Beck '54 Oxblood

$0.00

Authentic 1978 Fernandes - Mint Condition
Collectors Item Serial Number Z82X0X ( means 1978 )

This is a Vintage 1978 Fernandes Burny Special Order Guitar. The guitar is in near-to-unplayed condition with only scratches. We will call it "Mint-Vintage" condition. The pickups are the factory original Fernandes pickups. The guy that bought this guitar is a very lucky guy. I'm not sure he even knows this was like the best sounding Burny Fernandes we have ever played. Probably the best Les Paul we ever heard!

1978 was a very good year. This guitar has a serial number on the fretboard starting in "Z" identifying it a a special order Fernandes Burny. ( see photos ) Also a second imprint, under the paint on the back of the headstock, the same serial number is present which is Z82X0X indicating a 1978 vintage. This guitar is an authentic Burny Fernandes in very well preserved condition. The quality is virtually un-matched. The original frets in excellent condition and the paint is still in pristine condition.

Burny and its factory Tokai Gakki Japan manufactured this guitar and some of the best guitars during this time period. This guitar has a mahogany body and neck. The body is a solid mahogany body with a 2-piece and center-joined maple top. You can see the construction through what we believe to be black nitro paint. The tone from this set neck guitar I can explain as marvelous. The humbuckers are perfect for the woods used on this guitar.

This guitar was produced by the team of guitar enthusiasts at Fernandes/Burny for just a few months in 1978 after Jeff Beck and Stanley Clark went on tour together. At that time Jeff used his modified Oxblood 54' Les Paul. Apparently Fernandes had access to Jeff's guitars. After we have received numerous question about the neck profile we will offer ONLY the following :

The width at the first fret across the frets outside the binding is 1.76"... and the girth/thickness at the 1st fret ( using a pair of calipers at the back center of the neck and on the middle of the fretboard - between the edges ) is .85"

Hold on to your pants Burny collectors. This guitar is a 1978 Fernandes FLG-075BG. This guitar was owned by a collector for 30 years. Hold on to your pants Burny collectors. This guitar is a 1978 Fernandes FLG-075BG. This guitar is in near-mint condition with only some scratches.
