1990 Kramer Mick Mars Signature Guitar

This is an authentic Motley Crue Kramer Guitar in pristine condition showing its Neptune NJ neckplate. Very interesting vintage guitar with unique features that have Mick's preferences. This guitar is from the run of guitars manufactured by Kramer during the late 1980s and during the period that print advertisements featuring Mick Mars and his Kramer Guitars were circulated to major publications by Kramer Neptune New Jersey.

There are no details available indicating how many of these were manufactured by Kramer. Yet Mick did play these. You can see Mick Mars using his Kramer with Motley Crue if you check for The Moscow Peace festival footage on YouTube.

During the time i have owned this guitar i have intricately examined it with great detail and recorded every specification of this guitar accurately on paper notes. For decades I've sought to learn more about these guitars and teach/share information with interested people. As well I've collected and owned near-to one thousand vintage guitars of true significance. This to feed my personal obsession and to use each guitars technical data.

BODY WOOD : Maple ( two piece center joined )

NECK WOOD : Maple with Rosewood ( what appears to be Old Growth Brazilian Rosewood ) The Rosewood is striped and of high quality. Back of the neck is the multi-piece maple Kramer neck type of the later 80's Kramer era of manufacturing.

BRIDGE : vintage 1990 Genuine Floyd Rose marked "Original" . The tremolo pivot posts/studs are ESP type with brass bushings period correct 1990 and original to this guitar - unmodified. ( pivot post like these were seen often with the ESP Sinclair tremolo systems in this era. )

PICKUP : Seymour Duncan unknown unmarked humbucker 14oHms. An early 1990s type SD baseplate can be seen.

It is an authentic made in Japan Mick Mars Model Kramer manufactured in 1990.

It is is near immaculate condition yet there are visible modifications.

-The original volume pot code was used and the date code engraved on the volume showing "03K" which is 1990 verified by the first digit. The guitar was manufactured in 1990 by Kramer. The original volume pot is included with sale.

- A replacement volume pot is in place

-There is moderate fret wear to the original Kramer factory frets

-The original tuners are period correct 1990 Gotoh marked

-Certificate of Authenticity is included with sale of guitar.

-The pickup does not look Kramer factory original.

-The pickguard is an exact reproduction pickguard manufactured by a professional using the original mirror pickguard as a template.

-The guitar is a perfect guitar with a strait neck, perfect truss rod and operates perfectly in every way with no defects.
