This is a Floyd Rose "Original" tremolo made in Germany in 1983 and the sought after tremolo with the W. Germany Sticker. The first run of Floyd Rose tremolos made in Germany had a sustain block that was machined by a human hand and was chrome plated. They also had a much thicker baseplate made from special hardened steel. The saddle locking blocks/inserts were made from a special metal alloy and were silver in color vs the later ons that were black color. This tremolo is in 100% original and pristine condition.

This tremolo was manufactured in 1983. It Is the sought after real and authentic Original Floyd Rose from the first few bridges that were made in West Germany. We have dis-assembled this item and inspected every piece. At re-assembly we lubricated the parts. The fine tuners are brass and have very little signs of use. The steel baseplate on this tremolo measures out to .13mm. This is the thickest Floyd rose baseplate measurement recorded. Virtually all Floyd Rose steel baseplates range in thickness from .09mm to 13mm depending on timeframe of manufacture..

This is a collectors item 1983 Floyd Rose. This can be established because there is no imprint on the sustain block showing the US Patent Number that Mr. Floyd Rose acquired for this product from the US Patent Office ( US Patent #US4497236 ) .
