BRUCE KULICK FORMERLY OF KISS

“Bruce and I are friends and vintage guitar geeks. We like many of the same things in a RockN’ Roll guitar.”

“ I loved the ESP guitars he used during his era of KISS,” Johnny explains. “We went over the early 1980s ESP guitars Bruce played and used live at that time.” Johnny DiFatta adds, “ 1980s ESP Guitars were one of my two main influences as a guitar luthier and manufacturer. The other being early, very early, Charvel Guitars with which we are both very familiar.”

KISS Asylum had an anniversary and that marks the recording debut of Bruce Kulick with the Rock ‘n Roll Hall of Famers … the awe powerful KISS

Johnny reflects on the inspiration that tied Bruce Kulick and Johnny together, “The ESP Bruce played live in the early KISS days was his 1985 ESP M-1 with a Flip-Flop paint job. It's the same guitar that is hanging in the Hard Rock Cafe in London England right next to Eric Clapton’s Stratocaster today.

“ I went on to manufacture and produce a replica of that M-1 ESP. Then we developed the Asylum tribute guitar. It was a lengthy process of trial and error to get to the exact neck shape and other specifications that Bruce liked in his guitars. We got there successfully and the whole journey to completion rocked! I learned so much from Bruce and all the data is reflected in my second generation of AXN Boutique guitars that you can buy today!
