1984 ESP Stratocaster Guitar

$0.00

1984 ESP Strat Head with a ONE-PIECE Maple Neck
Professionally Relic'd Guitar

As expert collectors of everything "ESP" we can confirm this is authentic 1984 ESP manufacturing!

It has all the markings to indicate that it was sold at an ESP store in 1984 which makes it a custom shop vintage guitar. Most likely this guitar was sold at the 48th Street shop in New York. Indeed "NY" and a serial number 61XX is written in the neck pocket. In addition the Japanese letters that are translated to mean "Shibuya" is marked on the heel of the neck. We have seen several necks from ESP with this logo type and these markings. These markings confirm the facts we know that are true that every New York ESP guitar sold in the 80's was manufactured in Japan at the ESP Shibuya shop in Tokyo.

The guitar had tons of beautiful natural age-ing and we, as a guitar maker that provides professional relic-ing services, have relic'd it even more.

The electronics are original including the visual confirmation of ESP pickups, pots and cloth wiring which was  confirmed by the previous owner who also indicated that there was shielding paint added to the pickup cavities of the body. We had removed the ESP pick guard and confirmed this.

There are NO cracks in the wood of this guitar and no negative issues to disclose. We have used this guitar live on numerous occasions and can confirm that it is in fact one of the best strats we have ever played. It has a nice snappy string response. The neck radius is 12inch. The frets are super jumbo and the tuners are original ESP along with the tremolo which has ESP marked saddles.
